At Amplify Additive, their Arcam Q10plus machines use Electron Beam Melting (EBM), a type of Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) technology. Using EBM, they melt layers and sub-layers of ultra-fine titanium powder into complex and intricate 3D forms which are incapable of being produced via traditional, subtractive, production methods. Currently, they work in Grade 5 and Grade 23 of Titanium powders.
Engineers now have the freedom to produce high-quality products with unlimited design capabilities and without the constraints of traditional manufacturing.
Located in Scarborough, Maine, Amplify Additive has built a cohesive team from various areas of expertise within the Orthopaedic world. This cross functional, multi-disciplinary team can provide customers with Design, Manufacturing and Regulatory expertise within the additive manufacturing space.
