Supplier Information
Ni∙ti∙nol (Nī ti nol) Nickel - Titanium Naval Ordinance Laboratory has excellent biocompatibility, flexibility and kink resistance in addition to its unique characteristics: Super Elasticity and Shape Memory. With its unique properties Nitinol has become an important material in the medical device industry.
Ni-Ti Tubes, located in Fremont, California, specializes in the customization of Nitinol tubing and wire with tight tolerances. They were founded to provide high quality nitinol to the medical device industry. Diameters range between 0.010” and 0.275". In addition to converting nitinol, Ni-Ti Tubes offers its customers a metallography test laboratory that can perform: macroetching, AF tests, grain size determination, surface and tensile evaluation. Consulting services provide engineering support to start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies designing NITINOL based devices. They can identify design flaws early on and suggest alternative designs that can substantially reduce cost.
The manufacturing process allows for short lead times, less than two weeks for custom tubing.
